FREE Bicycle Helmets – Annual Lansing, Michigan Event Helps Promote Bicycle Safety

Free Kids Bike Helmets

On Saturday, May 18, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the Sinas Dramis Law Firm, Origami Brain Injury Rehabilitation Center, and the Michigan Association for Justice will sponsor the annual Heads-Up for Safety bicycle event in Lansing, Michigan. This will be the eleventh year for the event, which has given over 4,200 helmets to Lansing-area children.

Free Kids Bike HelmetsMore than 70% of children ages 5 to 14 ride bikes. Approximately 60% of bicycle-related deaths involve brain injuries and research confirms bicycle helmets effectively prevent head and brain injuries. The Sinas Dramis Law Firm is committed to the prevention of bicycle injuries and hopes to encourage the use of properly-fitted bike helmets for cyclists of all ages.

As with past Heads-Up for Safety bike helmet events, Hondo Carpenter will be the Master of Ceremonies and bicycles will be raffled throughout the day. Additionally, this year, the CFT/Sinas Dramis Cycling Team will host a bicycle obstacle course for children and SPIN Bicycle Shop will be on site for minor bicycle repairs and adjustments.
