Safety Hazard Created by Defective 3T Aduro Aero Handlebars

3T Aduro Aero HandlebarsThe United States Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a recall notice for Cervèlo P5 bicycles for the 2012 and 2013 model years, which are equipped with 3T Aduro aero handlebars.  The recall notice states that the forward extension mounts of the aero handlebars can detach from the base of the bar, while the bike is being ridden, causing the cyclist to lose control and suffer potential injuries.

Cyclists who own a 2012 or 2013 Cervèlo P5 bicycle equipped with 3T Aduro aero handlebars should immediately stop using their bicycle and contact 3T Design to have the handlebars replaced free of charge with a modified set of Aduro aero handlebars.  Cyclists can contact the Aduro Recall Hotline at (855) 225-7226, or go to www.3tcycling.com and click on “Aduro Recall” for more information.
